List of Casuals to Attend M&G to Discuss Their Low Hours & Guideline Bulletin

Today, October 31, 2022, lists were posted of Casuals that need to see the M&G Committee due to low hours in 2022.

The lists were posted by Board as follows:
B Board – Monday, November 28, 2022
C Board – Tuesday, November 29, 2022
T Board – Wednesday, November 30, 2022
OO Board – Thursday, December 1, 2022
R Board Group 1 – Tuesday, December 6, 2022
R Board Group 2 – Wednesday, December 7, 2022

If you appear on one of the lists and your hours are low due to medical reasons, the M&G will now require monthly medical updates.  You will attend on your appropriate meeting date and bring any paperwork you may have in respect to your illness/injury.  The M&G may require further medical information on a case-by-case basis.  Failing to attend will lead to demotion or deregistration.

If you are off due to an ICBC Claim, a WorkSafeBC (WCB) Claim, maternity/parental leave, or are in a Trades School or in an Apprenticeship Program and your name appears on a list, you DO NOT need to attend as long as you previously contacted the Local 500 office by phone to advise that you’re off work and you have provided paperwork in support of the reason that you’re off.  All paperwork provided to the office is copied to the M&G.

Failing to comply with the above, or failing to attend the appropriate low hours meeting, will lead to demotion or deregistration.

DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE IF YOU ARE ON THE LOW HOURS LISTS.  YOU WILL HAVE YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK TO THE COMMITTEE ON THE APPROPRIATE DATES.

DRESS APPROPRIATELY – YOU WILL BE WAITING OUTSIDE.
