Rules for Board Moves – UNION 
February 22, 2019

  • That when a worker moves within his/her Category, the move will be made after 6:00 p.m. Monday (unless Monday is a stat). Prior to accepting the despatch, the worker must have plugged in and let one work opportunity go by, if the worker plugs in within 24 hours of the move. – Executive Motion November 18, 1991

 

  • That all Board move slips (except inner board moves) be implemented not later than 24 hours after the move slip has been issued. The time issued will be noted on the slip. – Membership Motion September 18, 2002

 

  • When a Member moves from one board to another they must plug in and let one work opportunity go by before accepting a despatch. – Membership Motion September 18, 2002

 

  • After an intra or category board to category board move has been done, the person must let the first work opportunity go by. Must remain on the board for 30 days.  This applies to all boards. – Executive Motion May 5, 2010

 

  • RWF personnel returning to the Despatch Hall, that have less than 15 years and that had no Union home board when they made the RWF, must go see the President and be placed on the appropriate board by the President. – Executive Motion May 17, 2010

 

  • That a spot be open for 7 days before a person moves into that spot. This is to stop people from coming in and switching spots. – Executive Motion March 28, 2011

 

  • Category move slips to be only issued Monday-Friday dayshift unless the RWF is fired on the weekend. – Executive Motion November 18, 2013

 

  • That when any RWF worker is returning to the Hall they must allow one (1) work opportunity to go by within a 24-hour period. – Executive Motion May 11, 2015

 

  • That one a Member applies for Local 514 work and begins 90-day probation period, their spot in the hall will be made available within 7-days. – Executive Motion April 9, 2018
