to amend the LOCAL 500 CONSTITUTION: ARTICLE V Officers & Committee Members,

“Vacancies in the Executive or in any other rank and file elective office shall be filled for the unexpired term by standing vote of the next General Meeting.”

To:
C. Vacancies & Recall, Section 5
“Vacancies on the Executive shall be filled at the next General membership meeting by way of a standing vote. Only a candidate that ran in the previous November Annual Elections for a position with a two-year term, shall be considered as an eligible candidate. If no eligible candidates accept the nomination, the floor will be open to all Members in good standing.”

SECOND & FINAL READING AT THE APRIL 11, 2018 MEMBERSHIP MEETING

The second (2nd) and final reading of this Notice of Motion will take place at the April 11, 2018 Membership Meeting at which time it will be debated and voted on if there is a quorum. Two-thirds (2/3) of the Members present at the meeting must vote in the affirmative to pass this motion.
