Any person employed as a Casual on the Vancouver waterfront and represented by ILWU Local 500 who is looking for information about their status as a Casual needs to contact the Membership & Grievance (M&G) Committee.
- You can phone the “Friday Guy” on Fridays after 10 a.m. The Friday Guy is not available in weeks with a stat holiday.
- You can meet with the full M&G on the fourth Tuesday of every month except December. The Committee commences at 9 a.m.
The Committee is there to answer any questions you have about your seniority, board moves, demotions, granted time, RWF postings or why you are not making yourself available for work on a regular basis.
