The Federal Election will take place on Monday, October 21, 2019 across the country.

In BC, the polls will be open from 7 am to 7 pm.

The Canada Elections Act provides that every employee who is qualified to vote is entitled to 3 consecutive hours between the opening and closing of polls.  That means if you start work at 8 am, your employer should release you at 4 pm, without any loss of wages, to meet the 3 hour requirement.
