Thanks to the persistence and hard work of the Vancouver Longshore Pensioners, a new interpretive panel will be installed at the Vancouver Convention Centre, adding to the 30+ labour history panels along the promenade.
This panel remembers the explosion of the SS Greenhill Park on March 6, 1945 in the Vancouver harbour which killed 6 longshoremen and 2 seamen.
Please join us on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 on the 73rd anniversary of the explosion to unveil and dedicate the panel.
