Article 10 of the Collective Agreement states that when a stat holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday wage rate applies. As Canada Day July 1 falls on Saturday this year, Saturday is your “big money” day. The office, however, will be closed on Monday, July 3, in recognition of the stat for our staff.
When a stat falls on a Sunday it moves to the Monday unless it is Christmas which simply stays on the Sunday.
