ILWU Brother, Jarvis Haskin, Port of Oakland, dies while lashing onboard the Hyudai Busan.
Brother Haskin’s unzipped coveralls were caught by the lashing bar pulling him from the ship. Please ensure that you have no loose clothing or anything else that bars can snag and that your coveralls are zipped up.
Local 500 extends our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and his union brothers and sisters.
