Re:  Workplace Fatality – Neptune Terminals

It is with great sadness that the ILWU Canada and ILWU Local 500 announce that Brother Don Jantz has passed away due to a workplace incident.  This fatality happened at Neptune Terminals on October 22 at approximately 10:00 a.m.

Brother Jantz was working on the Stacker Reclaimer when the grater he was walking on fell away, causing him to fall to his death.  The Union’s Employee Assistant Program has been activated to work with those workers that need help through this dark time.

Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and co-workers during this devastating time.  Our Brother will be deeply missed.
