The Union has received reports of washrooms being vandalized. Under the Labour Code washrooms and lunchrooms are referred to as personal service areas. They are provided for under Part II – Occupational Safety and Health Section 125(1)(i) of the Code.
Anyone caught trashing personal service areas is subject to penalties up to deregistration. These areas are provided for you and your coworkers.
Anyone destroying these facilities is attacking their workmates right to a safe and healthy workplace.
