Remember September 3, 1935

Commemorating the strike of September 1935 and Bloody Thursday

Join us in a silent march to remember the events of July 5, 1934 in San Francisco that took the lives of Howard Sperry and Nick Bordoise.  Afterward, there will be a plaque dedication ceremony at Pier Park to commemorate the September 3, 1935 strike in New Westminster.

Thursday July 5, 2018

  • For the march, meet at 11:00 a.m. at 10th and Columbia in New Westminster
  • Plaque unveiling at 12 noon
  • BBQ to follow at Pier Park, New Westminster – hosted by ILWU 502 – this is a free event open to the public
